We love and appreciate every event that Tipsy Pigs get to provide the catering, but recently we had the absolute honour and pleasure of creating a full service menu for a beautiful wedding that really stood out for us.
The venue was a gorgeous open field close to Guildford, Surrey and the coolest bride and groom we’ve met to date, had chosen a Boho vintage theme with funky tipi marquees.
Tipsy were asked to provide a menu that complimented the theme of the day, delivering high quality food but in a relaxed and informal method of serving.
Obviously, our speciality is hog roasts, but we always love a challenge and our skilled head chef’s created a delicious menu consisting of canapés served by our own butlers and starters of antipasto platters served on slate boards. The mains, served from large paella pans from outside the marquee included sliced sirloin steak with a selection of seasoning, chicken pieces with home made spiced rubs and seafood in a Mediterranean sauce. Desserts we’re a selection of classic Au Citron and Chocolate tarts. YUM.
Tipsy Pigs involvement didn’t end with the menu though and we used our event planning expertise to help source rare and vintage brass cutlery, candelabra’s, coloured glassware and other decorations.
Its not always comfortable blowing your own trumpet, but from the many compliments we received from the some of the 140 guests, we’re pretty happy we nailed it!
What an incredible day.
